Metal Hurlant, Blade Runner, and French sci-fi comics


As the 40th (!) anniversary of Heavy Metal approaches, it's as good a time as any to think back on how that magazine changed the field of graphic art and science fiction.

Shlomo Ben, glad to see that my 'Cody Starbuck / Star Reach 1974' post brought back some genuine 80s sci-fi memories for you.......that's what this blog is all about !

I just obtained a copy of Howard Chaykin's controversial 'Shadow' comic book series from 1986. A review will be posted here at the PorPor Blog before too long,
